With my father who is a D Day Paratrooper veteran I attended the memorial service in Ranville, Normandy last week. I was very moved by the wonderful service and also by the playing of Pegasus Pipes and Drums. You played a very beautiful piece (red. Highland Cathedral) of music with a lament like tune but a martial rhythm and the brass band joined in with you as the music continued (.….) My father was standing by the grave of his best friend who was killed during the campaign at the time and we will never ever forget this moment.

Last September, a piper of Pegasus performed and explained something about the instrument and the Full Dress uniform. He did a great job. The explanation was clear and his musical performance was well received by the audience.

We kindly thank you for your performance at the opening of the Schaffelaar Castle in Barneveld. We can look back at an amazing day with a great audience. Your performance gave us the chills and it was a nice addition to the opening program.
